16 CACP 2017 Annual Review William (Bill) Moore Executive Director Deputy Chief William (Bill) Moore (Rtd), Halifax Regional Police was appointed as Executive Director of the CACP in 2017. Bill brings a wealth of public safety and policing experience in integrated emergency services, patrol, support services, community projects, and administration. He has been active with the CACP and IACP since 2012, has served as the Secretary-Treasurer for the CACP Research Foundation Board, and is the past Chair of the Canadian Interoperability Technology Interest Group. Magda Mitilineos Office Administrator Magda has been with the CACP since 1998 and has helped shape the modern face of the organization. Through her previous work at the Canadian Ethnocultural Council, Magda has extensive experience in managing the unique financial and business needs of a non-profit organization. As Office Administrator, she is responsible for main- taining the everyday needs of the office including staffing and financial planning, as well as the organization of Board of Directors meetings. Magda has also taken over responsibility for the CACP's day-to-day operations and conference finances. Laurie Farrell Website Administrator An employee of the CACP since 1987, Laurie has held various positions within the organization and has extensive first-hand knowledge of the CACP and its recent history. Laurie has taken over responsibility for the administration of the CACP website. Her duties include, web design, posting of documents and reports, as well as the dissemina- tion of broadcast emails which allow the CACP to effectively meet its communication goals. Sara Sowieta Project Administrator Sara joined the CACP in the spring of 2008. She is bilingual and has considerable event planning and office support experience. Her primary functions at the CACP are to support and assist with the logistical planning of meetings, conferences and special events. She also coordinates special projects such as the Order of Merit. Veronica Sutherland Project Coordinator Veronica joined the CACP in September 2006. She is a bilingual event planner and her main responsibilities include program development, making and managing logistical arrangements, and managing finances for conferences, meetings, and education initiatives. She also assists with the coordination of special projects such as the CACP Executive Global Studies Program and initiatives of CACP committees. Jane Li Wing Receptionist/Membership Coordinator Jane joined the CACP in September 2010 as a Project Administrative Assistant. She then took over the Receptionist/Membership Coordinator position in October 2011. Her responsibilities include membership coordination, reception, administration, subscription & publication orders, and providing executive support. Jane is fluently bilingual. Gayle Ryan Executive Assistant After Gayle's retirement following 30 years as a Senior Administrative Assistant with Nepean, Ottawa-Carleton and Ottawa Police Services, she joined the CACP Team in April 2012 as the Executive Assistant. She supports the CACP Executive Director. Gayle also assists and supports the Project Event team on various conferences and special events. NATIONAL OFFICE STAFF CACP NATIONAL OFFICE
