A gainst the glorious backdrop of the Paris of the Prairies, August 12-15 saw delegates from across the nation come together to debate ideas, make policy, learn about new programs, projects and services available to Veterans and their families, discuss issues and potential solutions facing the organization and to enjoy each others camaraderie. To kick things off on Sunday, August 12 th , the delegates marched on parade to the nearby Saskatoon Cenotaph where we had the honour or having LGov. W. Thomas Molloy join us for the ceremony of Remembrance as well as back at the hotel with other dignitaries for the opening ceremonies. Members heard from the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence as she outlined the new government benefits and programs that have taken effect over the last couple of years, as well as the Pension for Life ANAVETS HOLDS THEIR 54 TH DOMINION CONVENTION Sgt-at-Arms, Brent Keeville leads the ANAVETS Parade Sunday Aug. 12th to the Saskatoon Cenotaph.
