27 Y outh centres across Canada were busy this summer! No matter where you were in Canada during the summer months, we can guarantee your local youth centre was busy holding all sorts of fun programs and activities. You can't go wrong with a summer absolutely stuffed with exciting things to do. We're here to show you some of the fun things that went on this summer, so you'll have an abundance of warm, sunny thoughts to get you through the winter. We're already excited for next summer, and after seeing some of these awesome summer programs, you will be, too! Al Rashid Youth & Sports Club of Edmonton The Al Rashid Youth program held all sorts of exciting programs this summer. Al Rashid is dedicated to serving children, teens and families in Edmonton, providing numerous activities developed especially for children and youth! Attendees had the chance to experience weekly Halaqas & Arabic classes, sports such as swimming, soccer, basketball, skiing and more, scouts programs and camp activities, annual conferences, leadership workshops, youth mentorship, various community service opportunities, day camps and even some girls only activities! Youth 2000 Centre The Youth 2000 Centre in Newfoundland held a fantastic Summer Fun Camp program that ran for 6 weeks over the summer. This year, the Summer Camp received a total makeover, providing a brand new camp experience for attendees. This summer we were treated to six themed weeks, with fun and zany themes such as "Mad Scientist Week," "Ocean Week," "Trip Around the World Week," "Adventure Week," "Holiday Week," and "Transport to TV Land Week." These programs lasted 4 FULL days each, with activities planned for every last second to keep youth engaged and entertained all summer. The Youth Centres Canada Challenge Program was incorporated into each day, and the best part? It was only $35 for all six weeks! Boys & Girls Club of Kamloops The Boys & Girls Club in Kamloops, BC hosted a youth summer drop-in program that offered social, recreational programming #SUMMER2K15 Victoria St.Michael
